Genmai Cha, Green Tea

Genmai Cha – rice tea – is a Japanese green tea mixed with crisp, toasted rice. It has a pleasing toasty aroma and flavor, and the rice increases the body of the steeped cup. Originally a peasant drink, inexpensive and plentiful rice was added to tea in order to “stretch” the tea thereby saving money. It is now widely popular across all economic classes. Kosher.
